This research addresses the study of the first goal among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely the eradication of poverty, and its relation to the Holy Qur'an. The research problem lies in the need to understand the comprehensive Qur'anic vision for eradicating poverty and the extent of its alignment with contemporary Sustainable Development Goals. The research aims to explore the Qur'anic perspective on poverty, its causes, and solutions, to clarify the mechanisms the Qur'an presents for its eradication, and to highlight Qur'anic models in addressing poverty while linking these to the SDGs. The research employs an analytical inductive methodology by examining and analyzing Qur'anic verses related to poverty and connecting them with sustainable development concepts. The research has led to several findings, most notably that the Holy Qur'an offers an integrated system for eradicating poverty that encompasses spiritual, economic, and social dimensions. This system includes practical mechanisms such as zakat (obligatory almsgiving), solidarity, work, and economic justice. It aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals while distinguished by its comprehensive nature and its balance between material and spiritual aspects. Thus, the Holy Qur'an serves as a rich source for sustainable solutions to the problem of poverty. The Qur'anic vision for eradicating poverty is characterized by a balance between individual and collective responsibility, emphasizing the individual's duty to work and produce and society's responsibility to achieve solidarity and justice. Moreover, the Qur'an offers a holistic solution to the problem of poverty, addressing its roots and causes, and setting preventive and curative mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of poverty eradication in the long term. The study revealed a notable alignment between the Qur'anic vision and contemporary Sustainable Development Goals, with the Qur'anic perspective distinguished by its comprehensiveness and integration of the spiritual and ethical dimension with the economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
